Qualified Neutral under Minnesota Court Rule 114
for Mediation and Arbitration

ABOUT US:  Some Brief Information.

Private Dispute Resolution (Mediation, Arbitration, and related processes).
Beginning in 1986, my law practice has included arbitration and mediation with private parties, for the courts, and under auspices of organizations administering arbitration programs. My education includes special training in arbitration and mediation, including numerous continuing education courses and initial training by Steve Erickson and Marilyn McKnight of the Erickson Mediation Institute. I previously served on bar association committees involved with alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration) and lawyer professionalism.

I serve on the arbitrator panel of the American Arbitration Association, and the Fourth Judicial District (Hennepin County) Alternative Dispute Resolution neutral roster. I am also a volunteer mediator of attorney-client fee disputes through the Seventh District Bar Association and a frequent arbitrator of No-fault automobile insurance disputes involving insurance companies and insured parties.

I am a Qualified Neutral under Minnesota Court Rule 114 for Mediation and Arbitration.  My charges for arbitration and mediation are not fixed. I make every effort to work with people on the issue of fees.

Litigation and Private Practice.
Since graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School, I have developed a wide range of legal experience while working for a judge, two excellent insurance litigation firms, and in private practice.

My clients have included many individuals and businesses, as well as the U.S. Government.

My business services include incorporation, purchases of businesses, defense of claims, and a variety of daily management issues.

For individuals, I perform many services, from estate planning and real estate to asserting insurance, VA, Social Security, and other claims.

I also have a broad background in issues involving disabilities, including special needs trusts and guardianships.

In some instances it is possible to avert potential claims for professional responsibility infractions, business torts, foreclosures, and other matters. Individuals facing such situations can contact me in complete confidence.
